StudentWelfare Committee

The Student Welfare Committee envisions a conducive student-centric teaching-learning environment and interpersonal relationships between teachers and students. The committee focuses on the overall development of the students by addressing their needs, providing counselling to slow learners, and fostering positive psycho-personal motivation and guidance for them.

Functions and Responsibilities:

✔ The Student Welfare Committee aims to achieve numerous objectives for improving the educational process.

✔ The committee helps Slow Learning Students solve their academic, social, and psychological problems.

✔ The committee helps overcome language educational difficulties and suggests appropriate solutions.

✔ The committee helps develop the students' interactive skills, such as translation, communication, and teaching. Committee Boost the students' individuality, autonomy, and self-dependence by giving them the freedom to choose, maintain, and organise their activities of interest. Some students might encounter some financial problems (Fees Payment issues). The student in distress shall be directed to the Student Welfare, which will communicate with both the student and the department. A student can be absent for more than a week for valid reasons; the student's attendance shall be recommended to cancel with the principal's acknowledgement.

✔ The committee also meets with the student's parents to explain the downsides of family disputes and their effects on the student. If the student suffers from a psychological illness, such as anxiety or depression, he will be immediately suggested to a specialised doctor. Recommendations and feedback will be submitted to the authorities concerned regarding Transport, Classroom management, Drinking water, Canteen facilities, Waiting for the hall, etc. Suggestions for activities to support Higher Education, Competitive exams, Industrial visits and Soft skills training.

✔ The committee facilitates students to apply for various Central and State government scholarships.


Term: The term of the nominated members shall be three years.

Meeting: The SWC shall meet at least twice a year or when necessary.
