Outcome Based Education (OBE) is a paradigm shift in the approach towards higher education in India in the recent past (with India becoming a permanent member of Washington Accord). OBE is directly / indirectly becoming mandatory through the government policies and quality assuring agencies such as National Board of Accreditation (NBA) which calls its accreditation as Outcome Based Accreditation (OBA) and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
In our quest for excellence, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the institute applied for re-accreditation by NAAC. We are highly indebted to NAAC Peer Team for examining our systems and validating our claims in our re-accreditation process, for which we received a "B" Grade in the year 2018.
The CBCS provides an opportunity for the students to choose courses from the prescribed courses comprising core, elective and skill-based courses. The courses can be evaluated following the grading system, which is considered to be better than the conventional marking system. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce uniform grading system. This will benefit the students to move across institutions both within India and across countries.
