Committee to Control the Anti–Social Activities of the students

To identify, educate and prevent youth offenders from antisocial and violent activities inside and outside the college campus. Understanding the risk factors for developing such behaviours and giving early intervention by coordinating activities at the college level and liaison with other relevant agencies.

Inside and Outside the Campus (within the jurisdiction) of Higher Educational Institutions


OBJECTIVES.

✓ To identify, educate and prevent youth offenders from antisocial and violent activities inside and outside the college campus.

✓ Understanding the risk factors for developing such behaviours and giving early intervention by coordinating activities at the college level and liaison with other relevant agencies.

✓ Helping the youth offenders to reintegrate into the academic system and assist in further progress.

✓ Intervention programs to promote protective factors.

✓ Intervention programs to reduce recidivism.

✓ Family education for youth at risk for antisocial or violent behaviours.

✓ Conducting awareness programs for teaching and non-teaching faculty to enhance a student-friendly environment that will reduce the risks.

✓ Training students as peer mentors to help other students


Basic security arrangements:

✓ The wearing of ID cards by Students / Faculty Members, / Staff of the College was made mandatory.

✓ Attendance of Students, teachers and staff of the college was recorded. The movement register is maintained to record the exit of students and staff during college hours.

✓ Undertaking obtained from students/parents against ragging, footboard travelling and Indulgence in criminal activities.

✓ Vehicles are adequately checked and entered into the register at the entrance gate.

✓ All baggage is checked.

✓ CCTV cameras monitor the whole campus.

✓ An internal Monitoring Committee is formed.


Term: The term of the nominated members shall be three years.

Meeting:The ASC shall meet at least twice a year or when necessary.
