Academic Audit Committee

The purpose of the Academic Audit is to evaluate the departments' performance, appreciate their achievements, and give suggestions for further improvement of the quality of teaching, research, administration, and curricular and extra-curricular activities.


Functions of the Academic audit committee

✓ To monitor the academic performances of the staff members by going through their lesson plans and logbooks.

✓ To organise periodic meetings to assess teaching effectiveness and discuss the improvements in the curricular and co-curricular aspects.

✓ Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution

✓ Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process

✓ Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes

✓ Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education

✓ Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles

✓ Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.

✓ Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adopting and disseminating best practices.

✓ Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS to maintain/enhance the institutional quality.

✓ Development of Quality Culture in the institution.

✓ The principal may include any other related academic matter for audit in terms of reference, which he feels desirable.

✓ The committee should submit a report to the principal from time to time.


Term: The term of the nominated members shall be three years.

Meeting: The AAC shall meet at least thrice a year or when necessary.
