ADMISSION POLICY AND PROCESS

All the candidates seeking admission to the Postgraduate (PG) programmes are required to register online or can visit to the College and receive the printed application.
Admission is made purely on the basis of merit, subject to the rules of reservation of the Government of Tamil Nadu and Bharathiar University.
As per the present policy, a candidate seeking admission in Postgraduate (PG) programmes must have passed 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognised board and must have passed UG programme from a recognised Institution/University.
The applicants will be eligible to take admission in all the program(s) provided they satisfy the cut-off and the eligibility for the selected program.
If applicants have examination results pending or have reappeared in papers, they will be able to update these marks by logging into their Dashboards. The college may be contacted for further details of admissions.
Applicants will be responsible for the quality and authenticity of all the information they enter, including upload of copies of certificates.
Admissions will be considered to be complete only when the full fee for the academic year is paid (against an official receipt) and the name of the applicant appears on the relevant rolls.

If any applicant is unable to submit the application in online, they can submit the hard copy of the filled in application in the college office.

ELIGIBILITY

A bachelor’s degree in Arts / Commerce / Science (3 years program) or Engineering / Technology (4 years program) Dental / Medicine (5 years) awarded by any recognized Indian University / AICTE with at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination is eligible for the MBA program as per the regulations of Bharathiar University.

Government Quota

The Candidate can apply while they are in final year of graduation. If The Candidate get through the selection process, they will be given provisional admission on the condition that they provide their mark sheet and a certificate of passing by a specific date.

The application form may be filled in clearly with all the required details. The indicated attachments are to be sent along with the application to the admissions office of CIMAT. Admissions to the Government Quota are handled by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. Students who would like to join CIMAT in the government quota will have to take the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University, Chennai.

The single-window counselling usually takes place in July / August every year at the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore (Online/offline).


Open / Management Quota

Admissions under the Management Quota to CIMAT are made purely on merit. Admissions to the Management Quota are handled by the Management. Candidates will be required to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Association of Self-Financing Arts, Science and Management College in Tamilnadu (ASFASM). Candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test (CET). Final selection will be based on overall performance in i) Common Entrance Test (CET), ii) Personal Interview & iii) CAT / XAT / GMAT (if available), along with prior work experience, and previous academic history.

quota / special category

Any other documents (Nativity Certificate / Income / Community / Non-creamy layer

Certificate) as directed by the admitting authorities

One set of attested photocopies of the above certificates


The certificates will be verified within the stipulated time period. If at this stage it is found that the information given by the applicant is false and/ or is not supported by the documents presented, the admission will be immediately cancelled.
