Committee to Control the Anti–Social Activities of the Students

Inside and Outside the Campus (within the jurisdiction) of Higher Educational Institutions

Objectives:

  •     To identify, educate and prevent youth offenders from antisocial and violent activities inside and outside the college campus.
  •     Understanding the risk factors for developing such behaviours and giving early intervention by coordinating activities at the college level and liaison with other relevant agencies.
  •     Helping the youth offenders to reintegrate into the academic system and help in further progress.
  •     Intervention programs to promote protective factors.
  •     Intervention programs to reduce recidivism.
  •     Family education for youth at risk for antisocial or violent behaviours.
  •     Conducting awareness programs for teaching and non-teaching faculty for enhancing a student-friendly environment that will reduce the risks.
  •     Training students as peer mentors to help other students.

BASIC SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS:

  •     The wearing of I.D cards by Students / Faculty Members/ Staff of the College was made mandatory.
  •     Attendance of Students, teachers and staff of the college record. Movement register maintained to record the exit of students and staff during college hours.
  •     Undertaking obtained from students/parents against ragging, footboard travelling and Indulgence in criminal activities.
  •     Vehicles are correctly checked and entered in the register at the entrance gate.
  •     All baggage is checked.
  •     CCTV cameras monitor the whole campus.
  •     An internal Monitoring Committee is formed.
